Fare Thee Well (Dink’s Song) - Oscar Isaac & Marcus Mumford

Inside Llewyn Davis is a story about us. The plight of being young and searching for something to hold onto, to be apart of, to become. The journey we take in order to find ourselves in this confusing and sometimes cruel world. The yearning to make something of worth that will touch someone’s life in some way; may it be through singing folk songs or writing poems and stories or drawing or anything that calls upon you. Folk is the perfect backdrop for this film because folk music disregards the need for extravagance and vies to aim straight for the heart. Folk is a music form that is raw in it’s message and sound. The songs don’t belong to no one person, they are for the people to make it their own, to find meaning in their own personal way, to sing in their own tune. The Coen Brothers, in essence, created the film equivalent of a folk song. For what Inside Llewyn Davis means or represents is entirely up to you.

"If it was never new, and it never gets old, then it’s a folk song."

unless your teachers are abusive assholes there is no fucking reason to disrespect them

they are literally trying their hardest to get you an education

teachers have every right to complain about rude students or the amount of papers they have to grade because their salary is low as shit

oh wow, your math teacher yelled at you because you were ignoring the lesson and talking to your friend

i wonder why

jesus christ teachers have it hard enough dont be an asshole

do you ever get so disgusted with yourself, like you can not believe how stupid and thoughtless you are and it’s so frustrating because you keep telling yourself that you’ll do better next time but then next time rolls around and the same thing keeps happening and you end up in this pattern of mediocrity.

Imagine if trees gave off wifi signals. We would be planting so many trees and we’d probably save the planet too.

Too bad they only produce the oxygen we breathe
